Givenchy Menswear F/W 2023.24 Paris

This collection reminds me of a stereotypical straight guy room, filled with trash, dirty dishes, stinky clothes, c**-stained tissues and toxic masculinity. The tailoring couldn't have saved this collection because it's too weak and the proportions are too off. That fur coat is also a sad thing to look at, it already looks worn-out. At this point if I were a part of the team at Givenchy, I would be ashamed of myself.

Well I was tricked. I was enjoying the suits in the opening and then the streetwear mess came. It is more his style at Alyx than anything Givenchy which is fine, but the problem is, none of it looks desirable or luxurious. Where as this may have worked in 2015-2016, his counterparts have moved on to something a bit more refined and he's stuck in whatever vision this is. Also that "3 GV" band looks cheap and those jean shorts in some looks should be burned.

Same!

Tbh I was hopeful when I saw the first 4 looks I thought he was going to present some more maturity, but I was wrong.

As usual, it's just a parade of badly constructed streets. Sprinkling in some decent tailoring is not going to save this collection.
I saw a lot of Demna's rejected in this show.
So many unflattering trousers in one collection.
The way he applied embroideries on the clothes looks so sad. Seriously, you have a couture atelier and that is the assignment you gave them.

But the real crime in this show is the styling. Max Pearmain doesn't do these clothes any favors. So much unnecessary layering, some looks make no sense at all.

I'm so done with this, someone just save Givenchy already.

The way he took his bow was so pathetic. It was like « I hate my job right now »…The great thing is that everybody hate his work. Imagine being an editor and being forced to go to that show because the brand is owned by LVMH.
Thank god Givenchy has a great logo tho…

I like only 5 pieces, the pink-purple fur jacket, the leopard jacket and the 3 boxy tuxedo jackets (looks 45, 46, 47), so there was no need for a full fashion show.... and those 3GV belts are going straight to the fashion police cell.

Givenshit...I cannot see the appeal of looking like you are homeless and living in a cardboard box.

I really don´t understand why LVMH does not fire this poor excuse for a fashion designer asap.

His shows for Givenchy are becoming increasingly more sad with each collection and you can tell he has given up. There is no effort here whatsoever. No vision, do direction, no allure. It's just all so sad.

I don't understand how somebody with a team of the most talented designers in the world, supported by the resources of LVMH, with access to historical archives, and living in Paris (!), puts out such mediocre collections time and time again?

It looks like it was designed by a 16 year old boy. You either have it or you don’t and he clearly does not. The suits are the only redeeming thing, but any designer with a good tailor can put out a good suit. I’m just waiting for this nightmare to end. My username has been tainted enough!

It's obvious that he's not getting renewed, so if his contract is 3 years like CWK's, then the women's show in February will be his last runway collection for Givenchy (maybe followed by a lookbook for Resort).

Because he is only interested in money and fame...and not in creating clothes.
