I just received this from asos.com

I had wanted to get the Steve Madden ones but they were still a bit too pricey for me, so when I saw these at asos.com for about $75USD, I snapped them up. I'm definitely gonna be wearing them a lot! They're so comfy.

Those actually look like the Basic Tall Gladiator we sell at Urban Outfitters. They also come in pewter and brown. They are 58 dollars. But buy them soon because UO is only selling them for a month more.

I work a lot in the shoe department and they look VERY similar.

The shoes are made by Society for Rational Dress and cost $213 on Creatures of Comfort. They may be available elsewhere; I'm not sure.

I decided to pass on the SM ones but I actually like the asos ones better and got those. They didnt have my size so I got a size down and hope they fit, does anyone know how asos runs?

They have gray ones on Tobi for $290, but they look plastic-y and cheap IMO.

Deschain- I like, I think they are keepers but it really boils down to- are you gonna get your money's worth? if you have any doubts about wearing them, you may not end up wearing them (unless they're 7 bucks, then keep them no matter what!)

This reminds me- I was thinking about ordering a pair of sandals from Matt Bernson online nd they have a simple strap at the toe and then big thick cuff around the ankle. But I was worried about how they would look with my admitted "chankles". Now that I see this picture of Christina I think I may have to decide against them. Don't you think that you really have to have thin ankles to pull off this look? Not that she doesn't look great but I can see how an ankle strap may not complement a thicker ankle, IMO.

So I walked into a shoe store and saw a cute pair. The brand was DC? Dolce Vita or something and they were about $80. I wanted to know if the brand was reputable or if any of you guys know of it/have bought something from them and recommend it.
