I love gladiator sandals. They work well in the Australian summer. They're not closed in so they aren't hot, but they're also that bit dressier than thongs. I've had two pairs, one in black, one in brown for several years. They work well with a lot of things, but they really aren't meant for dressy occasions.

More like a Plastic material but they are so cute.
