Goldfrapp

^i know. not a bad thing though.

doesn't serge leblon shoot the miu miu campaigns? that might be the reason.

is it my imagination or do any of you fans notice this similarity between goldfrapp and the banshees? even alison and siouxsie favour--perhaps because both are partly continental...siouxsie,belgian-alison,german. but the personality, sense of narration, the lushness(especially after the banshees hyaena),drama, wit, evolution and that sense of production in their music is very close. i've been listening to paradise place and those lyrics reminded me so much of clowns and that led me to think...

^I never connected the two, but now that you mentioned it, I could see that
esp in the way alison has a sexual stage persona and siouxsie with her bondage get-up....

i'm not saying that it's bad but felt mountain is way better in my opinion

Yes very true

I like much more the other ones I expected it to be more moving I feel like it is too relaxing all her cds have slow songs but also party stuff this one is more slow it is excellent though

I really adore Goldfrap music and Allison's style! A+E is a very beautiful song but why is the lyrics is so damn depressing? It's even more depressing than Gloomy Sunday.

funny you should mention that because someone else had just brought it up for discussion on the GMB...

personally i cant really have an opinion, because i havent listened or payed much attention to siouxsie.

that's another reason,shirleebee,indeed.

i know some people have brought up the banshees, before, and i never really got it. but now that goldfrapp has this fourth album(and i listen to siouxsie all the time too)its now beginning to make sense to me(maybe because i was ignorant in my love of goldfrapp and the banshees seperately).

san fran's up next tonight & then tuesday at the beacon in nyc. cant wait.

ahh im so glad to see her back with bare legs. i wasnt really feeling the whole white capris thing she sported on jay leno & at KCRW.

she has the most perfect legs, & they are better when they are showcased!

ps. it seems goldfrapp was one of the best performances yesterday

Whoa, I love Caravan Girl, so happy they chose it for the next single! :woot:

caravan girl....i'm a bit disappointed,to be honest. i wish they would have broken it up and released one of the less obviously commercial tracks like eat yourself or clowns.

i love the cover though! those ribbon-y tights are brill!

btw,i wanted to turn everybody's attention to this unreleased interview from 2003 that was intended to be printed in the sunday times but because of some ignorant about their worthiness, they rejected it. but the writer contributed the piece to goldfrapp.free.fr for we fans

and isn't liam gallagher a complete pompous bastard?! like anything that beetle wannabe says we would take seriously.....haha! he wants to question the merit of another band when they've done sh**. please.

OMG, they will be at Heineken Opener Festival in Poland, I guess I'll ruin myself financially but I MUST be there! :woot:
