Goldfrapp

i did! though most of them are of me instead of alison. i had a mate of mine who was in the front row take some for me but they all turned out blurry due to the fact that no flash was allowed. ahh well. i just need to get a better camera for next time...

there were only 50 (very, very special) guests in attendance. even will got up on stage for the first time in years. yay!

it was filmed too, btw. for whatever reason we shall soon know.
videos to go with this new itunes exclusive album, perhaps? :woot:

alison looked gorgeous!

haha...i dunno but i wasnt hard to miss thats for sure :p

next time though - i am determined to meet her. too bad i didnt get the chance last time...

The video is not so Goldfrapp for me, I'd love to see something crazy as in the previous ones. It's lovely, though, plus it's great they chose Caravan Girl, I loooove it!

I don't like the video. It bores me. While I understand the concept, I'd rather see Alison.

ah....no longer avail.

i agree with you...even though i enjoy caravan girl,it would have been interesting to hear them release something less of the overly-accessible nature their previous singles have been. something to kind of break up the monotony. eat yourself would have been just fab....get back that melancholy feel.

I absolutely love Eat Yourself, it's my favourite from Seventh Tree, but I knew that one wouldn't be too single-ish. That's why I was hoping they'd choose Cologne.

im hoping for CCH as well...

i have a feeling it will be too

• out of all the tracks on the album the only two not featured as bsides, remixes, acoustic versions, etc. on the three previous singles are some people & cologne cerrone houdini

• & out of those two some people has only been preformed once (at union chapel) & has never been featured in anything else (ie. radio shoews, etc) though cologne cerrone houdini has been played at nearly every show & has also had airplay on a couple radio shows & interivews

with those points in mind i think the obvious choice would be CCH, the one track thats got at least some recognition. itd be silly -to me- if they chose a song for their fourth single thats had barely any at all

well,i wouldn't mind CCH either but eat yourself or even clowns would truly bring back that former spirit like when they released lovely head(which in retrospect probably wasn't the most single-y track either) first on felt mountain. i mean just to satisfy those that fell in love with them initially. because i think this kind of direction, especially following the result of supernature, might leave some fans a bit wary of what their goals are...you know too commercially-oriented. plus,it would give this seventh tree era some balance.

but that's just my feeling. otherwise,if they do ultimately release CCH as the next single,i would be pretty satisfied.

cette, did they perform any unfamiliar tracks at the beacon gig, talking of b-sides? since i know they tend perform unheard songs a la little death, fondue knights, sartorius. i haven't really heard or seen any yet.

oh if they released eat yourself - it would be a dream come true!
my absolute favourite off the album.

the only thing "different" they played was a hillbilly version of ooh la la. they also performed it on their KCRW session in april. i didnt like it when i first heard it but it really works well live (surprisingly) & it really does grow on you...i love it now!

im hoping they release some bsides this time around. (so many of my favourite frapp trcaks ever are bsides) & at this time in SN they had already released a bside with their second single (!) i really think they are waiting out for this itunes exclusive album. its bound to be full of fabulous things!

ive got the live version at the beacon & also the KCRW recording - if anyone wants it - pm me.

mine faves too,as you know ;)

have you heard that rumour that they're going to release a b-side album? i dunno if it's still much of a rumour anymore but apparently if true it was supposed to have recorded versions of all the tracks i mentioned.....maybe that thats what they'll do with the exclusive??

tomorrow marks the beginning of their summer tour!

starting in barcelona at the sonar festival - anyone getting a chance to see them soon?
