^do you really wear medieval????
I'm pretty scared when I hear this.... I think there's a big misunderstanding about the image people vehiculated through centuries about what medieval and gothic were....
There's a sort of big marketing around that, especially in Fashion...
Medieval is not the period where I'm specialized... But I can tell for sure the Fashion (which was really really important in those times... even more than you've ever thought!) was not really into black.... The Fashion was pretty colourful!! and defenetely NOT black!!!! well there was a little... but Black was mainly 'trendy' in Spain during the XV or XVIth century I think....
And I even don't understand why people think it's a dark period....
The churches were open to the light.... the most possible!!!!!
But I can figure out why there's a sort of Black and Dark thing around Medieval....
So I guess you're more interested into the forms the outfits could have and the way Contemporary Gothic 'Community' interpret it now than into the real thing, non?
Because here is what they wore (taken from
Les Tres Riches Heures du Duc de Berry let's say Late Gothic, XVth If i remember well...) and as you can see it's not really black nor dark!!
