Grey's Anatomy

What about Frasier? Angel? Happy Days and The Simpsons were spinoffs too, then there's Law and Order: SVU, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, various CSI's, Xena Warrior Princess....all of these were spinoffs and incredibly successful!

I hope for Kate's sake that it goes really well

^ I haven't watched any of those spinoffs hahaha.

I first terrible spinoff that came to mind was Joey.

How is Simpsons a spinoff?

It was a sketch on the Tracey Ullman show before it became a series in its own right. You've never seen Frasier? Surely you've heard of the others even if you haven't seen them?

the last episode that was broadcasted in Germany was so heartbreaking due to events I believe I am not allowed to mention in order to avoid spoilers that I actually cried like a howling baby dog...I was honestly grief-stricken (okay, that might be a slight exaggeration) and I was sobbing throughout the entire second half of it. it was truly terrible. absolutely destroyed me.

I'm just so glad they're showing the 3rd season right after the 2nd, because usually they tend to have huge breaks in between here and leave me dying for the sequel...in this case I wouldn't have survived that anyway, so it's kind of fortunate...

why does it feel like there are so many breaks between the new episodes this season?

This season has fewer episodes than last season, and they have to spread them out to the end of may.

^^ Yeah the 1st season was only 9 eps long and wasn't the second like 28? Anyway, 28 is a crazy long season, usually normal season is like 22-24 eps... And now it feels different since there were so many more episodes last year compensating the lack of them in 1st season

I really don't like this...running several repeats between new epps.
Sometimes I don't even know when the new epps will air.
Guess I am not its loyal fan anymore, kinda losing interest watchinh GA now.

^I don't like it either. I think they should do the show the way Lost did this year - a long break in the middle of the season, and then new episodes every week for the rest of the season. I didn't like this at first, but now that I know I can count on a new Lost episode every week, I love it.

^and imo Lost is getting good again. I've loved the couple of new episodes sooo much :)

I don't know. I'm a bit conflicted about GA right now. I mean the show seems to be heading towards something I'm not really fond of. I'm definitely going to give Addison's show a chance. She's my current fave on GA and I love the line up they've announced for her show! At first I wasn't too excited, but now I'm starting to be :)

I'm excited about next season. It looks like GA will be back to its original cast again, what with Addison leaving and rumors of the actress playing Callie not returning. Also I've read that Eric Dane has been offered only a certain amount of epis next season. The focus will be directed back towards the interns again; this season storylines have been kind of all over place to accommodate every actor so they get enough screentime.

justjared.com has some pictures of katherine heigl on set which kinda gives away something about the finale
you have to click older entries twice to find it, im not going to post the link because it gives the surprise away

Actually, this Thursday's episode is just a clip show - showing moments from all three seasons. It's hosted by Denny.

I'm really getting fed up with this rerun schedule.
