It's very clear to me that Alessandra was the brains behind design at Gucci while working under Tom Ford. Her two solo collections show her strength at designing great clothes that fit nicely in the world of Gucci. What the house now lacks is an editor or stylist, who can look at a collection and instantly take it from zero to hero. Someone to choose the hip runway music, develop the flawless makeup, cast the best models, choose just the right heel height or skirt length, style the accessories just so, and so on. That's where Tom's vision was peerless. And you can say what you will about the man, but he knew how to make a bunch of clothes seamlessly fit together. He had such a knack for developing an image and that's what Gucci needs right now.

Might I suggest Softgrey for this role , if she can stomach the clothes ' made for Manhatten surgery sirens ......... '

I agree with everyone who said that this colection is very dated, with no freshness or originality. I got a feeling of deja vu when I saw it. These designs are completely out of step with what most women are wearing today imo.
