Cover your eyes, Armani!
So Gucci is now selling underwear? It didn't work for Balenciaga and it won't work for them.
This again looks like a wear rendition of Luchford's work. To think they had one of the most creative and original campaigns season after season and now this. And when I look at the clothes, I get the impression this is the beginning of the end for Michele's Gucci as we know it. I'm sure the likes of Scotty and Vogue28 will only be too happy about that.
I get the limitations and what they were trying to do but it feels like very Gucci on a budget. Are we supposed to believe that these models actually live like this? The "stories from home" thing works if your brand is genuinely incorporated into the subject's lifestyle; they literally shipped products to the people involved here and told them to copy Luchford's previous campaigns.
Seriously, I would rather shoot the campaign at the HQ, on the design team (instead of models) rather than shipping clothes to people who are uninspired and would just shoot themselves brushing their teeth in a bathroom....
Those « shot at home » campaigns are quite annoying now. It seems like only Immaan is capable of doing a decent thing...
