Gucci Pre-Fall 2025 Milan

the green colour is gorgeous, love that shade of purple and the ancora red.

there are many interesting pieces here and I can only hope he will develop from there. I fell he has it but has been playing safe.

the styling could definitely be better which would improve tremendously how we see the collection IMO

Since the first collection, Gucci is trying to do a mix of the new Prada and Ferragamo, with a wink at Tom Ford.
So far it's been underwhelming and unconvincing.
If you are working at Kering and you are reading this, I have a question for you:
have you thought about getting Maximilian Davis?
If what you want for Gucci is this modern, refined elegance, why don't you get him?
Miuccia and Raf are not going to be available anytime soon.
Palazzo Ferragamo is round the corner and once the winter is over you will find Max having ice-cream at the Piazza del Duomo or the Piazza Santo Spirito.
I thought that it was written at TFS somewhere that they approached him....

It was said they approached CD of Ferragamo, Tods and valentino (ppp).....among others

But maybe I recall incorrectly

The idea that people could like a piece or two from this collection is no surprise - you could probably walk into most places, from Primark to Prada, and find something you could integrate into your own sense of personal style.

But Gucci is trying to operate at an elevated world-building level (with the elevated prices to match) - does this collection help to convince anyone about the Big Picture being sold by the brand?

If Gucci had reasonable prices for the products on offer, I could see myself picking up a few things, here and there, and being happy with that - but I wouldn't pay big money for what they currently offer.

If the company had a more consistent - and realistic - sense of its place in the market, it would be easier to get on board with it.
