Gucci S/S 2017 Milan

Looking at the way clothes are styled on the runway, you´d think that no one will wear them... but looking at street style during MFW, a lot of people are wearing them in a way that´s more appealing. And the bags, everyone has one!

The snake jeans are lovely indeed, and yes, super expensive.

the set and the music is amazing, havent seen anything as cool in a while.

I actually quite like what i see this time, quirky is an understatement haha ^_^

i havent stepped into a Gucci boutique since Michele took over, i wonder if it looks like a dressing room of a movie set with all these rather outlandish and incoherent-to-each-other clothings side by side?

That said, from what i can see from Mr Porter, only the "safer" clothings, belts with the updated logos, some bags and loafers, are there but the womens clothings, especially the dresses, I am really curious do they really translate to sales? or are these just for editorial purposes to push for more bags and shoe sales?

ps. I absolutely love the light denim suit and jacket with the embellishments on the female model!

I never see the clothes on sales, exept 3 pieces-wool trousers on Luisaviaroma , there they use to make offers, few weeks ago was 10% for actual collections-clothes Gucci dresses inkl.
Yes, it is quirky but not everything. Some items are really cool, the Quality is good and the prices are not so expensive , D&G and Co., Balmain ect., the prices are too expensive, no Chance to buy anything but they make Sales.
Gucci didn't put current-last year-items on Sales, i got Invitation for privat or vip, i don't remember, sales, nothing interesting... and this summer the items weren't sold in half an hour as it was last time.
I was a big fan of Net-a-Porter and Mr.Porter but in last time i can't buy there any item, they put something and it is sold out yet????
Michele's Gucci is really good. I didn't like the "fur loafers" but one day i bought them and i fall in love with this fur loafers. Till now i like every item i bought.

I do wish Alessandro would push himself more, while there has been incremental change, now that the he's had nearly two years in the job he needs to develop his Gucci story before everyone gets completely bored. This is probably why Gucci is moving to showing just two collections a year, no? Looking closely there are a lot of good pieces, and they're selling, it's the styling makes it difficult to pick them out on the runway.

ha ha ha - so theatrical!

there are definitely a number of pieces here that i'd wear, especialy jackets. soooo many good jackets!

You know, it might be a big mess, but at least it's a fun mess. That has been missing from the fashion industry for a while now.

Maybe it was Miuccia's depressing snoozefest of a collection that everyone was raving over as her best show of recent [sigh] that helped me appreciate this collection even more. Similar to Font at Delpozo, it's nice to see people still having FUN with fashion in these boring minimalism-hangover times.

Zany, off-the-wall, but also beautifully designed. Opening the show with that blazer was a genius move from the beginning... and then closing with a showstopper dress, followed by a classically preppy Gucci look gets a wild applause from me.

Maybe I'm starting to come around to the Gucci renaissance.

It reminds me a lot of 2000s Dior and I like that , I miss that in fashion.
There is so much going on on his designs and no denying he is very talented. Only flaws would be it needs more focus and editing. Fashion has become so boring over the past 10 years, and being a member for that long , I have notice the decline. Collections like this give me hope. There is a lot of depth in his designs.
