Gwyneth Paltrow

Hm, I don't get all the negative comments and press. I don't mind the dress and in interviews Gwyneth does come off as very funny and likeable. I agree that her eating/diet seems a bit out of this world at this, but she seems quite down to earth when you hear her in interviews. I feel a bit sorry for her regarding all the negative comments, I feel like she has good intentions and a good attitude towards life.

It was a hint of skin, it is not like she pulled a Rose McGowan and had her entire butt hanging out.

Exactly. It's not like the whole back of the dress is sheer. Has everyone forgotten the 90s. Or am I just too old now :ninja:

And the "The most "look at me" celebrity dress ever" statement is from Liz Jones of the Daily Mail. The "fashion" editor that never gets invited to any of the fashion weeks cause no one takes her serious. I doubt Antonio Berardi will be inviting her to his next show. It's interesting to see some of the comment on there telling Liz to get over herself for once.

I just watch her Leno and Ellen interviews and she was great. Really funny. I want her cute Ellen dress and the Jimmy Choo's she wore on Leno. They are wicked.

I hate hate hate the sleeves but damn she can rock the sht out of that dress.

Elizabeth Saltzman speaks -

The Iron Man 3 actress works out for an hour and a half six days a week with her trainer Tracy Anderson and her wardrobe advisor Elizabeth Saltzman is proud of her for showing how much confidence she has by wearing a revealing Antonio Berardi gown with sheer panels at the film's Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday.

She told UsMagazine.com: "Not only was it our first choice, it's [also] beautiful, it's cool, it's daring in a no-daring way. Nonthreatening. Elegant. "It looked great on her ... it showed off her body. It's spirit without being vulgar.

"The point is that this girl has taste, this girl has confidence. And she's not flaunting anything but the hard work that she's put into being a happy body, happy person, healthy person. You don't see a whole lot of false fakeness going on there like some other people. She's always classic with a twist, classic with an edge."

Another source close to the 40-year-old blonde actress admitted she was shocked by the negative reaction to the dress, under which she couldn't wear underwear.

The insider said: "She honestly felt it was a beautiful dress! Then she realised she couldn't wear underwear with it - she tried it on with underwear first and then saw how bad it looked - so she went for it.

"That's how Gwyneth is. She didn't know it would get such a negative reaction. She thought it was beautiful and fit the event."

Honestly I see a contradiction in that statement that seems like a publicist trying too hard: always classy for a 40-year-old not wearing underwear because it is so not vulgar to wear a dress more supposed for a 20-year-old?...and she is no GIRL, at least not in my eyes...
come on, it's not like she is the state secretary and commited a crime..people get criticized but they seldomly "have their stylist" aka "wardrobe advisor" speak out in their favour defending them...

Another much ado about nothing. The dress is not bad, it just doesn't seem her style.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin threw caution to the wind as they enjoyed a romantic dinner date at London's La Petite Maison on Monday night.

Simply great  She can't do wrong with that outfit. Very Kate Moss :p Don't know if is because the poor lighting, but her hair looks darker and in my opinion makes her look younger.

See to me that doesn't look minimal or classic. The t-shirt looks sloppy and she needs to brush her hair.

"Threw caution to the wind????"

What is up with writing like you're a caption writer for bad tabloids?

***dont quote pictures**

OH GOD NO. If it's true PLEASE let the dress be Vintage.
SJP looked like she was wearing curtains or a duvet last year. It was dreadful.

What is with her left eye on the Glamour cover??? At least she looks gorgeous in the other two pics.

Her cover look is Gucci SS13
