Hakaan S/S 11 Paris

I see more Roland Mouret / Victoria Beckham, Derek Lam, and dare I say, Herve Leger (or one of those other Max Azria labels). To the extent there are Givenchy influences it is very watered down, which to me is not a bad thing because that makes it accessible Givenchy.

I liked last season so much better. Maybe its because he was so hyped that it is impossible for anyone to live up to it. Its still very cool.

It's amazing that Hakaan has gone from showing in London to Paris in just one season. I much preferred the previous collection, as there seemed to be a lot more depth to it. Interested to read the reviews though, it seems unusual for such a new brand to be showing in Paris. I can't help but feel the brand might get lost in Paris too.

He (he's a he JuiceMajor and apparently quite a veteran of Turkish fashion week) is showing in Paris this season having won the ANDAM prize following last season's collection. The opportunity to show in Paris is part of the prize.

My guess would be that he'll be popular with buyers and may well become a fixture in Paris. We'll see.

I agree that FW 2010 seemed slicker and more polished, plus I liked the outerwear that was shown.

all of this looks quite elegant and modern, i feel like paris is definitely the right place for showing this collection

I agree that he should show in Paris, but I was slightly disappointed seeing this, especially since A/W10 was such a hit. It felt like there was something missing, something that would lift the collection. But I think it stands out in the minimal wave and it'll probably grow in my eyes.
