Something similar to these, but possibly in a deep red fabric, large enough to fit more than just a chapstick and must have a strap that can go over my shoulder.

hi
i saved some money to buy me a nice trendy handbag but couldnt settle on one
LV or cloe or escada or Givenchy latest desinges so what do u recommand.

hi and welcome TANYA :flower:

how much are you ready to spend??
what is your style?
cause even in the classics there is quite a selection.
i wouldnt go with anything like CHLOE or GIVENCHY or ESCADA.. cause even though the CHLOE ones are fab, they are very prone to dyeing off quickly.
i would go for a CHANEL depending on your style ;)

edited cause thought u were looking for classic

When you want trendy right now it should be either Marc Jacobs or Chanel.
Marc Jacobs $785 | $820 | $850

personally, i am in love with the demure vuitton bags coming out in spring...but it all depends on how much you want to spend

cheap: go for the red louis vuitton epi make-up case (held in hand as clutch) or a similar small clutch

mid: get on the wait list for one of those vuitton bags or consider a balenciaga motorcycle clutches and maybe even some of the cheaper horsebit gucci bags (as seen on friends)

high: customized fendi ostrik, bulky prada totes (on runway), anything hermes, anything suhali or sellerina, made-to-order gucci

I'll unhelpfully add another choice. Check out Lambertson Truex. Really nice bags to be found.

I need a tote for my books...something cute, yet functional... durable and most of all, ORGANIZED...because I'm not...and nothing too pricey  Any suggestions? :flower:

What do you guys think of the price of this? I'm not usually a great fan of Kate Spade, hence my reluctance.... it's like 365 USD. Worth it for this tote? It's med size...enough to carry some notebooks

I don't like it!

*hides*

I'm not that :woot: about it , but I desperately need something for my books that doesn't look like something I've seen everyone around with...ie plain black leather totes...black nylon kate spades...the horrendous quilt bags...those foldable totes

What I REALLY want is Mischa Barton's Chanel tote in The OC :innocent: but I don't think my schoolbooks and notebooks deserve anything nearly that nice :ninja:

i have a really cute dark grey stiff fabric tote bag that is longish and carries quite a lot (i bring it to work along with a different purse everyday) i also sometimes use it on weekends because it's a sanrio bag. lol! it's a patty and jimmy bag, it's really quite cute (but only if you like cute things) - when i bring it to work, i put the side with the character facing in so that it just looks like a plain tote. ppl always compliment it when i use it the right way, though.

here's what the character looks like - http://www.sanrio.co.jp/english/characters/w_chara/01.html

maybe it's too girly?

Which do you think would be the best one to get for a 20 year old? If none of these, what would you recommend instead?

I am 21 and I really like the musette tango. It is roomy enough for the stuff I lug around and I can easily wear it over my shoulder, leaving my hands free. Out of the three you posted, I would probably take the papillon 30 in damier over the other two just because you can wear it on your arm. I am actually going to be purchasing a bedford (the papillon 30 in the vernis line) tomorrow if they have the colour I want in. But for everyday needs, tango!! If you are rough on your LV, consider a speedy 25 in epi or a soufflot. HTH
