maybe this 21 year old likes louis.... assume that much....

i agree that the Papillon is newer, fresher.... i would say go for that.... i want the alma as a 28 year old

My niece said that LV is the huge trend on her college campus (Florida State). I got her the Papillon 30. ;)

I personally wouldn't suggest ALMA because I think it's a little bit old ladyish for a 20-year-old.
I wanna get ALMA in Damier, too, but I decide not to when I see many 30 or 40 something ladies carrying it.

Papillon is timeless, always a good choice, and so is Speedy. I own Speedy 25 in black Epi and I like it better than the Monogram one, so I'd suggest the Epi Speedy.
or Monogram Mini JOSEPHINE small, also one of my favorite casual-and-cute-bags.

I suggest both as well! I love the EPI speedy, and the monogram canvas Papillon 30 is also a great choice! :flower:

amen on the epi speedy! i want one in lilac so bad...but there are only 2 in the country. dammit.

your niece goes to FSU? WOOHOO GO NOLES!!!

I just transfered away from there. WTF was I thinking?

I love the speedy. Big enough for all my crap, but casual enough to carry around without looking uppidy.

I purchased a Murakami Speedy 30 in White yesterday...and I feel it is too big for me (I'm only 5'0) and too flashy (I'd fell self-conscious *blushes*) as I am used to carrying much smaller bags (ie. pochettes, tango, etc)..but I wanted something bigger than the pochettes that I could use as an everyday bag like my tango. I also found the Speedy 30 a bit hard to get in and out of, as the zipper is right in the middle. I'm thinking the damier ribera?? I really wanted a bedford in fuschia, but they are disco'd and sold out in the US and Canada. Any ideas on what I should get??

The damier imo is a lot nicer than the monogram (murakami or otherwise). It gives it a more classic look. It's also a lot more versatile, and less flashy/trendy (which is a good thing when it comes to bags if you wanna get good use from them) And yeah, the ribera is my fav shape...

the medium-sized ribera would probably be a perfect size

i would keep it ;)

i am not very tall myself and have a huge birkin. i agree, you need timle to get used to it. but keep it :P

Is this the Monogram Mini Josephine that you're talking about?

Thanks! I do not think I am going to keep the Speedy 30...I am keen on the Kathleen in bubblegum pink. That way I get the pink bag I wanted and its quite a bit smaller.

Please keep the Speedy 30, I've been trying to hunt it down for months ( the waiting list does not work for me) so instead i bought the bedford in lavender, and it sucks, the zipper is so tight that by the time i gut my hand in the bag it's all scratched up*****therefore I'm selling it on ebay.

Aw I'm personally not a fan of the multicolor Murakamis but I do think they are much more versatile than those new pink and green bags...but I can certainly understand the size issue... I'm 5'1 or 5'2 (on a good day :P )
