I would go for Chanel as well..the 2.55, I think the Dior Hardcore may be a bit too young for her.

Alright, if her mother is anything like my mother, she'll go nuts for Chanel. Chanel is synonomous with elegance, glamor, sophistication and being young in spirit. Dior is a good choice, that Cannage tote is spectacular, but Chanel is Chanel.

Before you buy a Chanel, why did you pick that Dior bag? Had she mentioned it before, or is that a style she likes? I actually like the Dior bag, but I think you need a lot of hip style to pull it off. Of the Chanels, my vote is for the cerf.

It is a lot of money, go with your instinct, thats all I am trying to say!

she didn't mention that bag. I was just surfing the net and found the dior bag. the bag didn't seem too young for her but I guess I was wrong.

No its not limited edition, only some colors are, like the red is meant to be limited edition. But you can buy this bag in all Chanel stores and they do it in black

DEFINITELY CHANEL.
nothing beats chanel, i havent seen a single female being who doesnt like chanel.

a 2.55 in red or black sounds the best, but she may already have a similar chanel bag if shes into purses...... but then again, she can always exchange it to something else if she doesnt like it.. and chanel always has tons of other bags she can choose from no matter what her style is...

if shes into hip / younger bags, chanel has another line (check the 2005 chanel bag thread) with large CC logos thats more "hip" and "young".

another choice would be a celine boogie or a bottega hobo... but they just dont have the same "wow" factor like a chanel bag.... why dont you ask the daughter about what her mom is like and get some suggestions?
