I have no clue about how the waiting list thing works but maybe a Dior Gaucho? They aren't really "flashy" but I love the white ones Or a Fendi Spy ? Or the YSL Muse?

Oprah was flashing the new Marc Jacobs for LV bag that he gave her. I'm no fan of the whole monogram but hey, if Oprah loves it, the world soon will as well.

That bag is...HIDEOUS.

Anyway. Get her a Spy or a B-Bag. Tell us what her style is so we can better determine what she would like.

Bottega Veneta - more of a classic than an "it" bag, but the leather on these is so gorgeous, any girl would be happy to have one.

I'm all about new, hot bags, and if you got any of these for me, they'd go right back (well, maybe I'd keep the gaucho....). Lesson learned: just make sure to shop somewhere with a good return/exchange policy

i think the hot bag this season is the dior gaucho. if you're wanting an "it" bag... that's definitely the one. go for the large double flap ... she'll melt! lucky girl!!!

heck go into Hermes and buy her a Kelly bag haha

or go to MIX on Kirby near Westheimer...and get her a Balenciaga. They are one of the only small boutiques in the Southern part of the USA that are authorized sellers of Balenciaga!

The B. Fendi is my favortie it bag right now, but you'd ahve to wait to get that. The spy is great and you can most likley get one right now if you call around enough. A bottega veneta bag would be a good idea, or a novak. The Oversize muse is great if she likes big bags. A chanel 2.55 would be a good idea, or a chloe python silverado sachel.

I wouldn't recommend balenciaga becuase the leather isn't as good as before, if you want to get her a balenciaga I'd wait until next season when they are returning to the better leather. I loved the gaucho on the runway but was unimpressed with the "real life" pics.

What a great idea! Hopefully someone can help me out...

I'm 23 and change handbags everyday, depending on my outfit. This results in keys/phone/wallet misplaced or left behind. (but at least there aren't year old gum wrappers and phone numbers i never intend to call lining my bags! )

What I'm looking for is something i can use everyday, but not in black or brown. I wear lots of different colours and my style is hard to pin down, but i don't want everything to necessarily match. I'm willing to spend about US$800, cause i expect it won't be seasonal. Also, I'm in Australia, so i'd have to include shipping costs in that figure.

Some bags that i like for reference are velvet Fendi spys, petrol MJ stam bags (not really for daywear), ponyhide Balenciaga city bags, the old Fendi vanity clutches, so shapes that aren't really conventional.

I just needed a few suggestions, i don't mind if it's not a huge designer name...Can you guys give me some more ideas?

hey Uniquechick, i would say the fendi spy..although im not too sure bout the velvet part..anyways, im in Australia too and im also contemplating on a few bags (including the fendi spy)..here's my scenario, i need a bag that i can use everyday for uni (school), so it has to be durable, can fit quite a bit, and preferablly somewhat timeless , but also stylish ..what i have in mind now is:

-the fendi spy in petrol (although i have nooooo idea where to get it in Australia..and im kinda scared it might just be another "it" bag...)

or

-the chanel cerf tote that ashley olsen carries to her yoga classes (not sure bout its durability tho.. )

or

Hello there, I am hoping that someone can enlighten me with my next bag purchase---a messanger bag. I know this topic has came up before but yeah, please bear with me.

I want a messanger bag, made of leather and price is no an object. (not like a crazy 8000USD of course)

I want it to be large and the leather to be soft, so that I can use it as a cushion if needed, and the most important of all, the bag needs to be durable. I need it to hold lots of books that are heavy and hopefully the bag can hold its shape. A everyday bag really, and something pretty, not easily broken...

I looked at the Louis Vuitton messanger bags but I doubt its durability(sp.!?) I am having little faith in this French brand...

Can anyone comment on how well Bogetta Veneta holds its bags?

FYI. Dior's return policy is like nonexistant. My sister is currently in NYC and wants the Gaucho, I told her, think about it cause they're not taking that **** back!!
