i'm VERY close to ordering this bag by elisa atheniense... love the color and shape. but before i do i was wondering if you all could recommend a few more to me that are in a similar vein? maybe there's something fabulous that i've been overlooking. i'd like to keep it under $800 if possible, and gorgeous, soft, high-quality leather is VERY important. any help would be most appreciated!!

Thanks! I checked out the MJs, but I'm afraid it's a bit too late to order one now. I need it by next sunday, which means that it'll have to be here by next saturday, and I know it wont get through custom in that short time (my back up dress fell through as well, the tailor said he couldn't finish it on time ) If I go with my first choice outfit I might have to carry just an old black bag. Bah.

they are under 400usd.

the leather is much softer and slouchier than the one you have in the picture by elisa atheniense. i cant find the picture of it... sorry

a student) i dont have money to buy 3 bags in a week. haha.
whats a good choice that would last me a long time and that i
wouldnt get tired of? i want either a big chanel tote or a marc
jacobs. any advice? i love my moms new silver leather chanel.
they have a new great collection. appreciate any advice

welcome to TFS! i think either way you go, chanel or MJ, will be fantastic buys! i think MJ's stam bags are really cute and have that chanel-ish vibe, but a little bit younger. but then again, i really love the chanel luxury line as well. good luck! and you may check in the handbag recommendations thread as well.

Crepe... We just got a sample back at work .. the bag looks exactly like this bag.. except the pockets and handles are whipstitched.

luna, was the leather nice? like, was it REALLY nice, soft, smushy? the bloomsbury didn't quite do it for me oddly enough, i don't like the way the rings attach the handle to the body of the bag (i am so weird about details) and this one seems like it's made much nicer, but maybe i'm wrong? i'm deducing all this from pictures alone!

That's a tough choice between the chanel and mj..I definitely agree with jun that the stam is a really fun bag but for longevity, nothing beats a chanel

Ralph Lauren Ricky Bag

I just fell in love with the Ralph Laure Ricky Bag in Pony Hair.
But the full leather one is $3k USD, i'm guessing the pony hair should be more.
Can anyone suggest anything similar & also in pony hair, an alternative thats around 1k to 1.5k?
