I need a new bag and need help!

I am obsessed with designer bags! I love them! I can't afford the really expensive ones but I do have a few Coach, Dooney and Bourke, Kate Spade, etc. I am looking for a new bag in that price range. I currently carry a Coach and I am getting tired of it. My sister just got a Francesco Biasia and I love hers! So I need some suggestions. I am tired of the Kate Spade, Coach etc bags. I really need some help, can some one suggest some for me? TIA!!!

Definately look at vintage. Bags of the quality you desire are easily available in the resale market. It's kind of like buying a car - do you really want to pay retail MSRP and lose 10% of the value by driving/carrying it off the lot?

I know many purple bags r coming out for spring 08 but I am desperate for one NOW The grape balenciaga is the only purple bag i've seen this season and I have it on hold till I can make up my mind and have ur opinions too.

hayden-harnett has a bunch of purple bags...
i ordered the havana hobo in eggplant but apparently it's back-ordered so I haven't received it yet..

hayden harnett would be cheaper than balenciaga as well, which is a plus if you're on a budget at all..
the balenciaga is really nice though..

I could use a recommendation!

I am looking for an every day bag that will last for a long time and is made of quality material. it should have no visible logo. An interesting shape or style is good, I'm young and don't want to look stuffy or conservative! but not obviously trendy looking. I don't wear gold so please no big gold hardware, no tons of detail or crazy stitching or stuff stuck on it - I like simple. I think colors I could make work are black, ivory, caramel, perhaps grey or red, a subtle design or pattern may be OK. I wear mostly navy, black, olive, grey, and true primary colors, I like menswear influences and current french style and especially inspired by the most recent balenciaga collection (f/w), I don't like anything super girly or fussed over. Any brands come to mind, having read all that? I don't care if it's expensive or not too expensive but I do care if it's well made, soft leather, good stitching.

thanks for ur reply Guessgirl96 although a little late =( ended up getting the balenciaga grape work and i'm loving it.. saw the ysl but the leather was 2 thin and didn't like the gold hardware on it.. would love to see the stam and nightingale IRL
