As you all know Polish edition is coming up this fall, friend of friend work with it and:

and everybody are saying it is bad, like cheap and all. and that is a shame.

And I think the whole idea about polish edition is not for "our" possibilities (I mean - journalists, editors) We have great models, young designers and photographers but it's not enough to create modern, great magazine!

i don't think the problem are editors or journalist - i am from here and i know many many great writers, fashion critics but: a. polish fashion market is so small: you get a job if you know editor/director from a magazine, so it's very small crowd and always the same ppl (for example editor of HB poland will be gal from hot, moda and shopping which is well shopping magazine and every product included is an ad., and b. polsih readers are not ready to pay much for glossy magazines, yet c. advertising - Vouge, HB or any other big, fatty mag is based on ads, but ads are conncted with market - if they are ppl able to buy expensive clothes for example from Chanel, we will have ads of Chanel store in mag. In poland we have new Wolf Bracka, some designers shops on the streets but in global market it's nothing. We are just to poor.
