You'd think Fan Bingbing is the only female celebrity in China the way HB is always shoving her down our throats! She beautiful, photographs beautifully, and always perform well with the most elaborate themes, but it's far too much of her at this stage. I'd much rather have preferred the Tibet feature with Du Juan for the cover, but I imagine the political backdrop of it would not have fared too well on newsstands. Love every shot of this editorial. Every shot looks immaculately styled. There's a different a degree of detail when Asian, and especially Chinese, magazines deal with historical fashion stories.
HB Singapore is another strong edition when it comes to fashion features. I'm not one for gaudy OTT type of stuff, but I admire the sheer balls they have to steam ahead with 'Dancing of the Stars'. This edition comes across as so progressive, even more than any of the other Asian Vogues. Btw, that Sanchez & Mongiello shoot styled by Kerstin Schneider is in fact a reprint from HB Germany.
