Feel like couture is becoming more and more massive these days. With the crazy price of RTW, many powerful clients realise couture is actually a more smart option. You spend a little more, but you get a much more privileged experience.

Yes, Chanel allows clients to order any item from the past collection and the house used to have strict policy of purchasing, meaning the brand is discreet of selling the same look to different clients. But from what I see, it's loosing its tie now.
With many clients posting things on social media, It's not mysterious or selective anymore. And it's all about making money in the end.

Every haute couture house has different rules when it comes to exclusivity for their designs but to my understanding Chanel has so many couture clients that they have this rule where you get to decide the type of exclusity of your design when you are purchasing a piece, so there are 3 options, the cheapest one is you'll have exclusity only in your country/region, then a more expensive option is you'll get exclusity in your continent and the most expensive one is a worldwide exclusity where they won't sell that design to anybody else and also they won't lend that design to any celebrity. Most clients don't choose the worldwide exclusity because it's just too expensive.

However Chanel has this other rule that even if 3 clients buy the same piece with the country/region exclusity they won't sell that design anymore unless another client makes heavy alterations to the design. So there can only be a maximum of 3 Chanel couture identical pieces in the world.

Bride gowns are an exception as Chanel never sells 2 identical bride gowns.

Oh come on! Vodianova doesn't need to buy or pay for something, she got it straight from the archive as she can wear sample size
Especially she’s married to Arnault. She can have it all while the rest of us peasant

It’s good put a name on some of the faces you would see at shows and be fascinated by. One thing that I love about the clients of these past 2 decades is that they have the Mouna Ayoub mentality. It’s all about the look they fell in love with at the show…Rather than an adaptation even if details changes from clients to clients.

You can even buy by Christian Dior… A lot of women do get the Junon as their wedding dresses.

I’ve been obsessed by Chanel HC for ever. If I ever break a bank, I would definitely get one or two looks from my favorite Karl’s collections….
But Chanel HC is not Alexandre Vauthier when it comes to prices..
I wonder if the current house designers (MGC) gets involved about the Galliano dresses or is it all the archive in house teams?

^ who wrote that? funny she/he passes the note to social climbers yet that note screams new money lol. 'you will be served drinks elegantly' 'by the most elegant staff in the world' 'so you can look devastating' 'arrives by crate'.. bitch, it's in a crate because it's fragile and flying internationally, not because it's expensive , haute couture is relatively low value. People in this bracket often spend the equivalent of couture IN the crate lmao.
