Dior lets you buy designs from old collections?? Dead. Good to know. (as if I could ever)

Chanel also lets you buy designs from old collections, very recently 3 clients bought this dress from the Spring 1992 collection:

Yes, they let you buy designs from the archives. Natalia Vodianova stepped out in some Galliano pieces recently too, or maybe not so recent but still.

Thats fascinating. I would love to buy that pink dress from John Galliano’s Spring 98 Dior Couture collection worn by Eva Herzigova but a girl can dream

It’s good put a name on some of the faces you would see at shows and be fascinated by. One thing that I love about the clients of these past 2 decades is that they have the Mouna Ayoub mentality. It’s all about the look they fell in love with at the show…Rather than an adaptation even if details changes from clients to clients.

You can even buy by Christian Dior… A lot of women do get the Junon as their wedding dresses.

I’ve been obsessed by Chanel HC for ever. If I ever break a bank, I would definitely get one or two looks from my favorite Karl’s collections….
But Chanel HC is not Alexandre Vauthier when it comes to prices..

I’ve always wondered what are the prices/price points for Vauthier haute couture and various other haute couture houses. I have an idea on Chanel and Dior (now), but as far as for Valentino under PPP or Dior under Galliano and the smaller couture houses, I have no idea. Do you have some insight ?

Feel like couture is becoming more and more massive these days. With the crazy price of RTW, many powerful clients realise couture is actually a more smart option. You spend a little more, but you get a much more privileged experience.

Yes, Chanel allows clients to order any item from the past collection and the house used to have strict policy of purchasing, meaning the brand is discreet of selling the same look to different clients. But from what I see, it's loosing its tie now.
With many clients posting things on social media, It's not mysterious or selective anymore. And it's all about making money in the end.
