New reports have suggested that after three years together, Charlotte Casiraghi and Gad Elmaleh have called time on their relationship. French publication Voici has claimed that the Monegasque beauty and her comedian love, who are parents to one-year-old son Raphaël, have separated.
"Charlotte Casiraghi has left the actor's Paris apartment," Voici reported. "[She] has returned to live in Monaco with her son Raphaël."
News that Charlotte is no longer living with Gad comes shortly after the same media outlet said that the couple's Los Angeles home is currently on sale.
HELLO!'s sister publication HOLA! reports Voici as saying that the "luxurious villa" in LA that the couple "had been established at for some time in, is now on sale".
Rumours that Charlotte and Gad are going their separate ways will be something of a surprise to royal watchers, given that the 44-year-old father-of-two recently spoke about how happy he is with his family life.
"Things are very different now," he told Swiss publication 20 Minutes. "When you start out in this business, what motivates you is your colleagues, the fame, the tours, the big stages [but] now what interests me most is the contact with the public when I am on stage.
"The fact that the rest doesn't interest me leaves me more time to spend with my little one," he added. "It's clear that now I would rather go back home at night to be reunited with my family, instead of going out to dinner after the show. That is very nice."
Royal fans will now be keen to see if Gad joins the Monaco royal family for Prince Albert's coronation celebrations this summer.
Last month HOLA! reported that Gad had managed to reconcile his comedy tour with his partner's royal duties for the special occasion.
Gad is due to perform in Monaco on 10 July – a date which was said to have been specifically chosen to ensure that he is in the principality the night before celebrations are planned to mark Albert's reign.
On the morning of Saturday 11 July, the Grimaldi family will step out to honour Albert's ten years on the throne, with much pomp and enthusiasm.
