Still so missed, what a wonderful girl she was, by all reports beautiful both outside and in.
I keep seeing her reflection in Freja, it's haunting sometimes and always leaves me pondering just how far she would have gone. Did they ever do any eds together, does anyone know?
^i agree! they did have an editorial together, along with tanya d, the three of the together. i'm 100% sure heather would've had an amazing career, no doubt. she was such a beauty, a perfect mix classic and modern with a special je ne sais quoi...i still miss her!
^Rigida, so do i!
FrankieP, i found the shoot heather was in with freja and tanya...it was the s/s 2006 campaign for korean brand system: http://forums.thefashionspot.com/showpost.php?p=1566955&postcount=808 ...freja was so young (she still is, mind you, and i love her)
but *sigh*...heather had such a singular, magnetic presence! i vote for the the release of her unseen works! i really don't understand why they never made the images public...it would be a tribute, i think. one way or the other, she will never be forgotten.
Ednafrau, thank you so much! Such an awkward editorial, lol, but all are so young and beautiful. I agree that Heather's face was just captivating, compared to the other two girls she seemed much more polished and poised yet can't have been much older herself? That face and the beautiful girl behind it can never be replaced.
It's a small distance between this life and the next--- for all of us. And it's kind of an exciting thought that Heather is already there waiting for us--- whenever we make the move. I'm sure Heather would want us to thoroughly kick-a$$ in this world first, like she did, but it's not going to be that bad to move on eventually--- especially if we get to see her again. Some things are timeless. And Heather is one of them. B)
Wow, she would’ve turned 26 today.. I really can NOT believe it’s been 7yrs already?? I go through this thread every once in a while & it's so sad since she was such a interesting girl, with sooo much potential & had such a AMAZING start to what I’m sure would’ve been a looong career.. With the way current trends are leaning, it’s chilling to think if she was still around what would’ve become of her. Personally, i’d like to think she would’ve been BIG…
Heather was totally unique in all that she did, and she will never be forgotten. She personified and epitomized the transcendental elegance of haute couture in the way Cristobal Balenciaga and very few others have done. Although her career was brief, her impact is eternal.
I know it's been just over 7 years but I'm still sending my condolences and best wishes to her family and friends. Especially after hearing that her brother Devin tragically passed away recently too. She will forever be immortalised in her amazing photos which can only be described as pieces of artwork! R.I.P. beautiful Heather!
i didn't know about her brother devin...what a tragedy! the loss of heather, for me, is still present. she and her beautiful work will never be forgotten
Can't believe it's been that many years.. still remember when I learned about it. So sad to read about her brother.. the amount of loss (and the type of loss- the way Heather died still feels so wrong) some families go through is so unbalanced.
