oh shut up! Only kate and gisele make 300 000 a day!! Neiman marcus catalogues (its been reported) pay between 10 000 and 15 000 a day, for a few days a month.. But, she probably still did gross a million this year, but keep in mind, she pays a large percentage to her agency, 30% + for taxes, lots of expenses, so even if she does gross a million, she probably takes home a little more than half, which is still a lot of money for an 18 year old!

Well, Gemma Ward made about $3 million last year. She was the highest earning teenager in Austrailia.

I know Heather is not in the same league as Gemma (since she and Daria are basically #1 and #2 in modeling) but she is not an unknown model. She's fairly well known, gets big shows, has a few commercial campaigns (Revlon, VS, NM), which pays more than high fashion, doesn't it? And she probably has other commercial campaigns we don't know about ... remember the makeup campaign, called RMK or something, from Asia? I bet they go wild over Heather's look in Asia.

And lastly... Heather only has to support herself, which I think definitely helps her save money. She doesn't need to take care of a family or someone else. She's home in Calgary a lot, so I expect the food/utility bills aren't as high when she's living at home, which does factor in considering she lives in NY. And she doesn't wear only designer clothes that would cost a lot of money. In her candids, I usually see her wearing stuff from Aritzia, which is a lot cheaper than the likes of Marc Jacobs and D&G.

If she made $300 000 from the Marcus shoot, her agency only takes about 20% commission, don't they? As for taxes... people aren't always honest about them. I know a model who was given some handbags as payment when she was in Asia and at the airport, she said they were fake instead of real so she didn't have to pay as much taxes. Not saying Heather does that, but you never know...

^ Now that you mention clothes, there's also the fact that alot of shows in New York, pay in clothes...Apparently, if you do Marc Jacobs, you get a certain amount of last season's clothes, which is really what is out in stores at the moment becuase of the way the shows are scheduled and I can see alot of designers doing that in NY. I've heard that you make close to nothing moneywise, when you do runway there, it's more about exposure and all that stuff

I have some question for you guys. We all know that the size of runway clothes are 4 (or 6) - really skinny, so who else except models could wear it? and when models sweat on those clothes... Are they for sale?

I think they are usualy a 4 Caffeine went to the Marc Jacobs Trunk show, where they do a preview of the collection and she said that the dresses were mostly in a 4 and that they were the ones featured on the runway

I think that Fashion Show clothes eventualy go on sale, but it takes awhile, since I'm assuming that they are used as samples and all that..I remember reading an article in Teen Vogue where Anne V said that people used to ask her if she got to keep the clothes she wore in shows and she said that she wished she could

That being said, i'm sure they get alot of gifts from designers
