Calgary model Heather Marks poses for photos on the red carpet for the celebrations at the Holt Renfrew store in CalgaryPhotograph by: Stuart Gradon, Calgary HeraldCALGARY - A star-studded cast walked a hot pink carpet Thursday night at a gala to celebrate the opening of Calgary's new Holt Renfrew store, as onlookers snapped photos and police stopped traffic in the immediate area.

Celebrities at the event were Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, actress Elisha Cuthbert, Gossip Girl's Kristen Bell, Glee's Jessalyn Gilsig and Calgary-born model Heather Marks.

The pink carpet kicked off a private gala celebration for the high-end store, which officially opened its doors in early October.

The A-list celebrities added Hollywood glamour to the invitation-only event at Holt's stunning new 151,000-square-foot downtown store.

Three of the VIPs, however, have Canadian roots.

Marks, who was born in Calgary and discovered at the Calgary Women's Show, has been on the cover of Vogue magazine and worked with some of the world's hottest designers.

"I've always supported Holt's and Holt's has always supported me and it's always great to come back. I love Holt Renfrew," she said, wearing a body-hugging black dress by Canadian designer Rita Liefhebber.
