when you see someone (or do so yourself) walk in heels one of the first things that come to mind is the sound they make. do you find them pleasing? and do you prefer the crisp clicking of say, long, slender stiletto heels or a more subtle sound of a wedge?

I adore the sound the stiletto heel makes ... it's so dynamic, compelling and completely sensual. I know this may like a tired old cliche but wearing heels make me feel powerful and like a sexy force to be reckoned with.

It's because the heel is hollow in cheaper shoes...

I like the sound of stiletto heels but I hate those hideous kitten heels that make a similar noise - there needs to be clear evidence that a heel exists that is making such a noise!

Heels are a staple of my 'shoe wardrobe' (yuck... sorry for sounding like an E! host... ) but the sound they make while I walk does bother me. Sometimes I walk in a manner that causes my heel to tap the ground twice with each step, lessening the impact: Cl-clop, cl-clop. It sounds like they are stuttering.

I can't stand it when people walk fast in tiny steps in heels. The sound just bothers me. Don't like the sight of it either... I always think it makes the wearer look constipated...
Everyone should learn how to run with heels... haha.

I really ****ing hate it when exam proctors wear heels, but otherwise the sound of heels don't bother me. I get embarrassed when my shoes make noises though, even when I am wearing flats.

Just discovered this oldie thread, ha! This strikes a chord...
I love the sound of nice shoes so much (both men's and women's), that when I was small I used to run after them trying to literally eat the sounds, they sound so scrumptious. (Horse's hooves taste the best though. )
Am I the only one who tries to eat sounds???
