Heels for Men

men wearing high heel shoes

Good Afternoon! Has anyone heard of a new trend where men are wearing high heel shoes? Is so tell me a little bit about it. How it originated and where is the movement going. thanks eric glennie.

THOSE SHOES ON THE RIGHT!!!! :woot::woot::woot:

I have been looking for a pair of shoes like that.. for I don't know how long. They're absolute perfection.

How have I not seen this thread before?

Love that above photo.
Oh and he's wearing l'incognito homme :(!

I love the shoes on Jean Paul. At first, I got a little confused because the heels made me automatically assume it was a female. A closer look said otherwise. But I applaud his confidence! I hope it can become a regular trend like skirts for men too. ^_^ There's no reason it couldn't.

Oh my god, NO!

The only man who in my opinion can pull them off is Bruce Darnell. :P

I think there's really nothing wrong with it. If pants were only for men at some point and now every single person you see wears pants (including females), I think it can be adopted eventually.

Oh YES!

Here's an outfit from this summer.

^ You look totally tres.
The thing I love is the fact that as long as you don't dress in drag it looks totally everyday.
Love it.

Love it ajott! Breaking the mold! I agree with Crying Diamonds that it looks natural.

Thanks Crying Diamonds and papa_levante for your positive comments! That's also my aim: To let it look totally natural, avoiding confusion about a split between "female" shoes and "male" clothes. I want to get beyond this perception.
Although this is a rather simple outfit, it took me quite a while to find the right combination.
I'm also trying to push this further with other items of clothing, for example dresses or skirts, but that's more difficult than this ...

(Heeled shoes I love the most, so that's the reason I'm posting here ...)

That is just the coolest thing I have ever heard.
Would love to see some pics on how you work them

If I were sporting femme heels, I would probably go with some pumps or some cute loafers. Any pumps I'd wear would mostly be round-toe because I wouldn't really see myself in pointy-toed pumps or shoes. I wear socks often. So I wouldn't want to wear any slingback or open-toe shoes. I COULD be able to come up with a nice jeans look with some femme heels if I were really creative and daring. For casual looks, a pair of mary jane sport shoes (because mary janes are my favorite femme shoes of all time) would work well for me. A playful pair of wedge sneakers like the American Eagle Dilemma sneakers (technically considered sneakers, but mostly skimmers with a wedge heel) would suffice for me in sporting femme heels.

Now let me just chat in general on hommes in femme heels. I've never had any real opposition or hate regarding those. Only casual hommes who'd sport femme's shoes would mostly be us guys dared to wear them or are doing it by losing a bet. I think hommes should never think of finding some femme shoes unless you can build a look go to with the shoes or sandals. Males wearing feminine shoes is a nice "best of both worlds" approach. Any homme with a fairly deep closet and a nice sense of style should be able to find some lovely femme heels to wear as well as put looks together without fail. I don't have as deep of a closet or can envision sporting some feminine heels with my wardrobe. So that's why I'm not really thinking of trying this.

.. there is allready a thread for this
