Height / How tall are you?

I thought I was 5'4, but my doctor measured me and according to her calculation i'm 5'2 :( Definitely explains a lot of things, like my protruding ribs and stumpy legs. Sigh.

People who're 5'2 have stumpy legs? I've never thought of my legs as stumpy.

I don't think all people of your height have stumpy legs. I see lots of shorter girls with nice legs. I do think it's more likely than on someone who's 5'9" though, only because there's less bone on which to spread the bulk...

i found out something interesting today!

people who live at sea level are more likely to be taller than people living high above sea level!!

there was a whole lot more but i cant really rember the rest at the moment, I'll post the rest when i find my notes.

i'm 16 and only 5'7. i hope i grow taller.. i think i will because i have big feet (size 10) and tall people generally have bigger feet, so i hope thats the case for me. either that or i'm stuck with big feet forever. :p

I live beneath sea level (Holland) and I am 1.85 m (I think that is 6'1)!
Dutch people are the tallest people in the world. I am exceptionally tall, even here, and I am not native Dutch. If you look at children of immigrants here you see that they are a lot taller that there parents, so there is surtainly a connection between where you live and how tall you are.

They're taller than their parents because of better nutrition, not because of sea level - for the sea level effect to occur it would take thousands of years (evolution)

Not really... people's bodies adjust to less oxygen in the atmosphere around them by producing more red blood cells. That's why athletes often train in places high above sea level before a competition - during that time they produce more blood cells and so when they come back down to the actual competition they have a natural advantage over others.

Im 1,73 and I wish I was taller...my dad is dutch so he is very tall but I doubt Ill grow more... Im 19, but where I live here in costa rica I look very tall, the regular population is not very tall, sometimes Im taller than the men  :innocent: so when use high heels I feel a bit strange

Can someone grow a bit more after 18, 19s...?
