Help Prada style headband DIY

Anyone have any ideas on how to make this... because I really dont feel like spending $400+ for it lol. (pic for papworld.com)

If I take a thicker silk & tie it I get a knot that looks similar or if you have any thoughts about that? As far as the rest how would I go about putting hidden elastic? I think it would need some stretch & I dont think I want the elastic to show if I wear it like the photo.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :flower:

:woot: Post a picture if anyone makes this! I want someone to make the Marc Jacobs headband (which only has paper & plastic flowers on...)
 
Oooh I love the Louis Vuitton floral hairband, I'd love one..
 
oh oh! i was thinking of making the one with all the all jewels on it
maybe i ll try the prada one since i got some satin lying around
 
Here's my DIY headband. Haha, it looks kinda weird but it was really cheap. :p

I actually really like that! It's cute and i like the sort of diyness to it. It doesn't look like 'rough' or anything, just right. And one of the girl took a picture to her tailor and he apparently was able to whip one up for her asap. So i'm sure you could also do that.
 
I already posted this on the turban topic in trend spotting, but here goes

it's a 100cm x 100cm scarf folded into a triangle, rolled and then knotted, the ends are hidden inside

i think i have a turban pattern from the 1930's somewhere in my room........
 
im going to try and make mine over the next week - ill post it here if and when i get it done!
 
I found this on a fellow fashion blogger. Maybe it works. Well if you want to wear your underwear on your head..
