Does anyone of you have this bag? how heavy? how is the craftmanship and leather ? Is this worth the price of $1130, how does this age? ... my sister is into these kind of bags so me and my other siblings is thinking this would be perfect for her as as birthday gift. it says croc embossed on neiman website is this faux leather ? i asked Neiman but they have no idea.

TIA ladies would really appreciate your feedback

how could Neiman's not know that croc embossed is leather?! Seriously who do these people hire?! Anyway, croc embossed means that basically they've imprinted the leather with a crocodile skin pattern/design thus it's been "embossed". It's still real leather. No idea on how it ages, but I imagine it will age well. For me, I'd rather go with Mulberry who also do that design at less of a price point (prob around the USD 800 mark) and I know their quality is good.

thanks meg ! so mulberry is a much better choice ? il go and check out their website

I don't know that Mulberry is a MUCH better choice, since I'm not familiar with this brand, but they basically originate this style of bag and I think they do excellent quality, in this style, for slightly cheaper so....worth a look! :flower:

this is one of the best and must underated designers of leather on the planet...

big models who eschew trendiness (think helena christensen) carry this designer...

the bags are all hand stitched ( think hermes) reather than machine made (like mulberry)...
and the butter soft quality of the skins is beyond delicious...

these are the types of items that one keeps for a lifetime and that only get better with age...

*well...you asked...

:p

thanks for the info, softie, I had never heard of this person before. If the quality is so high, why are the prices so low (I mean comparatively?)

softgrey thank you for your feedback  ive heard that this henry beguelin is indeed all hand stitched ala hermes and i love how understated it is

im really hoping this would age well

absolutely no advertising ..
under the radar...etc..
one of those....

;)...

i got a pair of flats from barney's...
majorly discounted...(because no one knew what they were)
they feel like leather socks...
well...they feel like cashmere socks actually...:p

hence the word...*delicious*...

i discovered it this way...by accident...
and now i am a devotee...
and i missed a chance to get a great bag from saks awhile back and am kicking myself for it on a regular basis!!!..

softgrey i think you just convinced me, i think my sister will love this if not her then me  im so loving it right now i might get one Henry B for myself too in another style. DO you know where i could locate Henry beguelin bags beside neiman? I love bags that has no advertisement makes it unique and one of a kind :D

or your sister does...
whoever the lucky owner winds up being...

:p

shes the first priority since its her birthday lol... but i have a bad feeling im going to go gaga over henry B. bags too :buzz::wub:

i dont' think they are for everyone...

they are super subtle...
well...some more than others...

and they are sort of bohemian with the handstitching and all...
which i think is really sexy and cool...
but it's not super refined and polished...

it's a different vibe...

omg...
don't let mary kate see this...
:ninja:...this is just the kind of thing she would jump on and then it will be all over for the rest of us...
...

omg that is so true softgrey i dont want to see the bags on the olsens  however they do look great with the bohemian look :p im actually loving the bohemian vibe i mainly own a few lv and mostly chanels so this one's different. i went to henry b. website and im soooo inlove with some of the mens bag  im going to try and locate this bag

Wow... :buzz:
I love the 1st & 2nd bag in post #17...
These are pretty perfect...
It is so hard to find something esoteric,
yet elegantly discreet these days...
I love how textured and sensual the bags are...

The shoes are so sexy, too..

Looks like a belt?
I'd wear it as a necklace/choker or shoulder strap, too...

This is absolutely adorable, imo...
