He's said himself he has a tendency to get pudgy if he doesn't keep on top of it, he certainly lost that Immortals look when he went into Cold Light of Day and they shot virtually back to back. I'm interested to see what the aesthetic of the whole film will be, given the producing/directing team I'm sensing dark and stylised! They really do need to find a way to sex up that super suit though because it always look so kitch!

Yeah. It's going to be tough...Superman can easily be cheesy if it's not done right.

It's good sign that the filmmakers didn't laugh when they saw Henry in the suit though.
I'm just hoping all the other roles are filled with good actors and they need to get someone really substantial to play the villain.
I read on ONTD that Kevin Costner will be playing his "Earth" father.
And according to imdb, Lindsay Lohan is rumored to play a role in the film. I'm hoping that's not true.

Exactly. And the look he had for Immortals was very lean and that's not what they will be going for with Superman. Personally, I don't want him to become a beefcake either yuk but there's a lot of pressure because of how Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth bulked up for Captain America and Thor respectively. I think Chris (Hemsworth) carries it well because of his height, but if you watch the trailer of Captain America, Chris Evans look rather gross to me. The problem is that the hardcore superhero fans (mainly guys) want him to bulk super-super up, no pun intended, while I think female fans actually don't like it to be excessive.

And the Lindsay Lohan thing has got to be a rumour. Even if Snyder would agree to it, Nolan would nix the idea. I speculate that it's LL's mother who's trying to keep Lindsay relevant. Regardless, it doesn't look like her schedule will be able to fit Superman considering the charges against her .

I'm not a fan of either Chris Evans or Chris Hemsworth, they do nothing for me. I suspect they won't over buff Henry, but really that suit is a major worry it's the least sexy thing ever, even with Henry in it!

In reference to the casting I really want them to get great actors in the movie, how about Cate Blanchet for a villain, how cool would that be.

I am praying that the Lohan rumor is just that a rumor, because she would ruin the entire movie.

I dunno. I think it has to do with charisma. All superhero costumes are ridiculous, it depends on the man who wears it. I think Henry might just be that kind of a guy. I mean, he wore tights and capes in The Tudors, and I thought he was sexy as hell.

They weren't exactly royal blue tights and red capes with his underwear over the top in the Tudors though! There was alot of leather and thigh high boots going on & show me a man who isn't made hotter in a muslin shirt. Fact! Which is all a nice excuse to do this;

Yeah, but Superman's costume can't exactly be changed. Sure, they can update it a bit but fundamentally, it won't change. I'm a firm believer that Henry can make it work. Like Snyder said in the article, no one laughed and that's a very encouraging sign.

I think they'll modernize the uniform, but there's only so much they can do.
