I know what you mean, it's like 1/3 of a 30 cm birkin bag ! I was in shock when I bought one for the first time, but again, as others have pointed out after a while shopping at hermes makes you loose sight of logical pricing and all reality!!!

Well the one I had a chance to look at was $1950. (in tri-fold), last year, I do not remember the leather, and, the prices only go up.
The good news is they last great! I have a box calf one for over 6 years and it still looks good. The only reason to own more than one is not poor quality, but the desire for new leathers and new colors...so in a strange sort of way, they are totaly worth it

Thanks for your compliment about the charms. The sterling silver sparrow one was approximately US$ 430. It's about 8 cm long and just looks perfect on my HAC!! I will try to post a pic.
