Hermès F/W 13.14 Paris

This is definitely his strongest collection at Hermes, I think.
The Hermes woman seems to have found the fountain of youth and got laid since Jean Paul Gaultier left.
Modern luxury is defined by the idea of a woman knocking about the house in that alligator skirt, in my opinion.

^Judging from comments from the purse forum, it's not the case.
If you go to the boutiques you would notice that their rtw is not moving.
long gone the JPG days.
Enough droopy looks already...
Admittedly some blazers are nice, but I can find nice blazers everywhere. Why Hermes?

The collection looks cozy to me, seem to be comfortable to wear. The color usage was so Hermes, modern and classic.

This is fantastic! Probably his best yet at the house. Very strong. I love the styling as well. This is what I actually envision the Hermes women; strong yet sensual and very tasteful.

Those pieces remind me of the highlights of JPG for Hermes, both of them know what the brand and clients need, well-done.

I still prefer his debut collection more, but what beautifully classic clothes here, so nonchalantly elegant. This fits Hermes well.

Actually, someone from Hermès gave a lecture at my school the other day and they were saying that the RTW sales had increased since Lemaire arrived...

Very interesting! Did they say women's RTW or overall?;)

I'm a little surprised to hear this. I've been worried his clothes are too subtle and without gimmicks, but then again there are a lot of older women who have money, and these clothes suit them well.

Women's RTW sales are increasing while men's RTW is stagnating :flower:
Thank you very much. This is very interesting to me...guess more are buying clothes to get to buy Birkins
I've seen their rtw on regular people (i.e. non-models). Not flattering at all. I mean the saggy/droopy clothes he did in the past few seasons, not the old JPG stuff.
On the other hand, their men's RTW is quite well made. The result is the opposite from what I expected.

Well, one's idea of flattery is subjective.

the shoes are pretty much standard issue Hermes?

Agree that bags are nice. the new clutch and doc bag are probably going to sell well.
