I love this look from all of them

That is a cute look, but its lacks design integrity. What is the design in this? I garuntee you almost every stlye concious man in the world has pieces just like these. I could have done that myself, and considering how cher Hermes RTW is, it doesnt seem worth it to me.
for a regular guy...this is actually very daring and avant garde...a little tank/vest over a short slv shirt with the sleeves rolled up is "fashion" in the men's world...period...and quite edgy for a classic company like hermes...

without being silly...as lolita luxe pointed out... B) :flower:

i love this look... [/b][/quote]
i agree

You make an excelent point, but again I have to ask, why do a runway show? To me fashion isn't about puting a tank top over a short sleeve shirt, that (in my eyes) is the job of a stylist. I would a fashion designer to do a little more designing. The collection isn't bad, I just wish hermes would translate some of JPG work in womenswear over to men's.

But why put it down the runway and pretend it is fashion? Why have a show if all you are doing is slightly changing basics that have been set for years? I wish they would have both. Leave this stuff, no reason to stop making it if it is selling, but why not put something at least a little bit more daring down the runway?
the reason they have shows is not to keep old customers (necessarily) but to attract new customers who may have otherwise not have known about the brand. if i was new to fashion and sifting through the menswear collections, i would gravitate to hermes bc it's not the same thing season after season for me, it would be the first time i saw it and it would be love.

i completely agree, it's just like galliano: if you were new to fashion you might accidentally think that galliano's clothes truly reflect what he puts on the runway and thus be enamored...

and in the end, it's STILL hermes. for YEARS their store windows have featured similar scarves and THE SAME bags...yet they continue to sell like candy apples at the fair.

I like it. It goes more to attitude of dress rather than fashion or innovation. I think that is what Hermes is also about. I bought two Hermes ties from Goodwill yesterday, one would go perfect with this collection.

i don't really know much about hermes or firstview.com...but i thought that firstview.com wasn't updating hermes collections anymore...but if that's true how did hintmag.com get these pictures from firstview.com...i'm very confused (and wanting to see more detailed pics of the collection even if i have to pay firstview.com)

there are pieces here and there that someone could wear and actually look like a guy! One of my fave collections

Well... all I can say is that I feel a bit ...stupid ... I do NOT see all you guys see in this collection ... it's quite simple and so-not-something-I'd-like, I guess it has to do on how I just dont get Helmut Lang ... I mean, it's there but I got NOTHING from it.
I'm sorry if I sound crazy, but it's the truth ...
SO frustrating ...

Beautiful clothes for beautiful men. It's everyone's fantasy of the ultra-rich aristocratic boy. Veronique nabs it season after season with such consistency.

I found coverage of the entire collection on Catwalking and pulled some looks for you guys. Enjoy!
