I remember reading in a magazine that wearing sneakers to and from work then changing into pumps was tacky. I'm glad to hear that some people still do it anyway.

I wear flip flops to my internship and then change into my heels on the elevator up to the office.

I wear clogs or flats most days, and heels about once a week. I work retail, and I don't want nasty veins. I'm 24 and already have a few from my early 20's of wearing heels every day at work. I think that that's one of the worse side-effects (for us vain girls, no pun intended).
