Just do what I do - tell him they were 99p on eBay! (Only works if you don't have joint bank accounts)

I'm on of those who have 50+ pairs of shoes. My fave pair at the moment are a pair of 4 inch suede strappy sandals that I actually did buy on eBay for 99p (well, sort of......)

Other faves at the moment include-

Cream leather 3 inch pumps
Black leather 4 inch stiletto pointy toed ankle boots
Brown suede knee high round toed flat boots (soooo comfy)
Brown leather round toed flats (again, so comfy I could wear them always)
Pink satin 3 inch peep toe Mary Janes
White leather with blue suede detailing training shoes - skate board style
Pair pink suede trainers
Brown kidskin knee high round toed tie ups with blocky 2 inch heel
White leather kitten heels with almondy shaped toe
Brown leather 3 1/2 inch mules with almondy shaped toe
Tweed round toes (saw in Vogue, had to buy a pair - sad I know)

that's about the nice shoes, I have soooo much more but rearly i get rid of anyting so the collection is ever growing!

I want everything you own

I have about 20 pairs of shoes. None of them more than 100$ (except for my Uggs!), none of them designer or anything.... a few from Aldo, pumps from Zara, Coach sneakers, a pair of Converses...

I don't have many pairs of shoes. Mostly because my "collection" is split between Montreal and Paris. But still, nothing very pricey.

~ 4 pairs of Converse (black, white, turquoise, brown)
~ 1 pair of Short Sand Classic Uggs (it's a necessity in Quebec)
~ various pairs of pumps (my fave pair are Elizabeth Stuart black retro ones)
~ flats !!! (round & pointy toed, various colors)
~ flip flops, don't know how many, mostly Havainas (sp ?)
~ Nike, Timberland, Le Coq Sportif and Puma Sneakers,
~ Birkenstocks Gizeh in bronze, so comfy
~ Kickers black bikers boots, love 'em
~ A few pairs of high heeled sandals (from Esprit, Zara, Fornarina, Mosquito)

That's about it. I realize I don't wear half of them. I need new shoes

Honestly I don't have enough shoes, I'm working on updating and adding to what I already have. I'd said right now I have about 50 pairs of shoes that I love and get frequent use out of and about 15 pairs of boots. I like well made shoes, so the purchase of two pairs of shoes is all I have in my budget for a month. I just bought a pair of Jimmy Choo boots, so that has blown my whole shoe budget for the month of November.

I have around 60 pairs of shoes I think...? Nothing expensive though... My faves are Converse all stars in various colors (I guess you could say I collect them) my moms old boots and my gold sneakers that's waiting for me at the store...

i have something around 60 pairs of shoes, all very pricey ; but i am proud i've never payed them more than 70% their original prices (mostly 50%, sometimes less).
That is totally stupid to own so many shoes as i always wear the same and tend to forget them one week after the buying ; i like to think of it as a collection, a bad excuse for "shoe addict".
My fave are 2 michel perry boots (one with vison fur), and the marc jacobs suede boots doubled with gold, that u can tie on the back. Oh, and the vintage le silla studded boots i bought them in belgium with my boyfriend, durin holidays

Mine... oh.they are too many.... and none are designer
I don't even wear many of them, and I still have some of them that don't fit anymore

The better ones are a pair of flats by Sybil Vane and a pair of sandals by Ricky Sarkany (argentina)
Oh! and my converse and john foos.. they're not great but sooo comfortable!
I also own some vintage shoes that used to be from my mother... I have a pair of boots that is just amaaaazing, I'm so glad they fit perfectly!
