After one heck of a night at the MuchMusic Video Awards, Ian Somerhalder was spotted arriving at Toronto's Pearson International Airport for a departing flight on Monday (June 20).

Showing off his killer smile, the “Vampire Diaries” stud looked suave in black boots, jeans, gray t-shirt and white button-up topped off with a hat and shades as she patiently waited in line to check in for his outbound travels.

The previous night, Ian and his hottie co-star Nina Dobrev went public with their relationship after keeping it under wraps for a year.

The cute couple showed up to the MuchMusic Video Awards together and proudly walked hand-in-hand down the red carpet.

A pal told press that Ian and Nina “are the real deal.”

Ian Somerhalder and his Vampire Diaries co-star and real-life girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, arrive at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday (June 19) at the MuchMusic HQ in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The 22-year-old actress wore an iridescent emerald green strapless dress with an asymmetric bow by Georges Chakra Couture.

“At MMVA’S- whoa this thing Is huge… You Fans ROCK,” Ian, 32, wrote on his Twitter page.

“Pulling a fast one- Boarding the worlds smallest plane to go to Toronto for the MMVAS… Airport to redcarpet! Ahhhhh,” Nina tweeted earlier in the day.

Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder check out Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con Celebration, held at Float at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego on Saturday (July 23) in San Diego, Calif.

The co-stars and real life couple checked out the celebration, which was sponsored by Batman: Arkham City. Paul Wesley was also spotted at the SyFy and E! Comic-Con party, held at Hotel Solamar.

Also pictured inside are Nina, Ian, and Paul at Camp Playboy on Friday (July 22), where they played Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids: Alive & Kicking and Just Dance 3 and Nina carried a gold “Jennifer” clutch by Raven Kauffman Couture.

Making his way to the Nation’s Capitol, Ian Somerhalder was spotted at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport today (July 28).

The “Lost” stud made sure to recycle his garbage as he exited the terminal. Ian is in Washington DC to testify at a Senate Hearing on Capitol Hill to save leatherback sea turtles.

Meanwhile, Ian’s “Vampire Diaries” executive producer Kevin Williamson recently told press he wants to see Damon and Elena hook up.

"The one thing I do want to see filmed and I'll say it because it hasn't happened yet and it may never happen, but I do want to see - and I will go on the record to every Stelena [Stefan and Elena] fan in the world - I do want to see Damon and Elena get it on."
