If time period, nation, ppl looking at you funny were :P not an issue, what would you wear? It can be from a theatrical production, fairy tale, anything, just use your imagination. Personally, I'd spend my days in Sevillana flamenco dresses and my nights in 19th century Louisiana ball gowns. I'd also like to have a couple of Tina Turner/J. Lo silver mini dresses. And of course, some period pieces like the Hope diamond. What are y'alls picks?

Ancient Egyptian would be cool. B)

I'm imagining turquoise-n-gold and fantastic lace-up sandals and head pieces. And lots of kohl eyeliner.

 egypt would be cool

I would probebly dress like a little girl :o

Definitely forties style for me, with the hat, gloves, and seamed hose.

I also see myself as a bit of a Vampira (70s Hammer Horror movie style)- long velvet gown with plenty of decolletage, long hooded cape worn over the top, pale skin, ruby lips, smokey eyes - I'm a bit of a Goth at heart

let them in cake ! off with their heads!!!!

I second that Lolita! I want Victorian-era, French Revolution, 1800's, early 1900's big dresses, fake powdered wigs and dancing slippers. Basically I just want huge dresses.

me too

but mostly i would want to wear late 20's-30's era, kind of decadent style
& very glamourous, like early screen goddess :innocent:

I'd spend my weekdays in the 1950's, with full skirts, teensy waists, high heels, gloves, hats, etc. I just love it, and I am so glad elements of this aren't so outrageous because I can and do incorporate them into my everyday modern style.

I love those gorgeous rococo gowns lolita posted! I guess I'm a but un-feminist as far as fashion is concerned, because I love corsets  so of course I would spend my evenings in my favourite era, between 1560 and 1575 in elizabethan england.

 :woot: well then we both just have fabulous taste, dahling ;)

I also want to dress in...I guess you'd call it traditional Japanese: kimonos, obis, etc.

And also I love Napoleonic empire styles:

I like the Gwenhyfar sleeve (Guinevere) hence Arthurian. But I adore the Mohicans (Native American Garb)!

As much as I love the Empire dress style and the idea of all of the finery of the Victorian era I have to honestly say that I choose the 1920s and 30s as my absolute favorite. Think Coco Chanel, Claudette Colbert, Nick & Nora Charles, flapper dresses and slinky bias cut dresses...for the first time women were "freed" from confiing clothing. I think you can take the ease of the 20th & 21st centuries and bring a little renaissance refinery in the mix.

The time of Julius Ceasar in Rome. Time to play Rome's "it girl' and scandale society. B) ;)

I would love to live in the end of 19th/beginning of 20th century within the avant garde movement. Also I like the idea of the romantic movement (first half 19th) to show their ideal of esthetism in every detail, (hair, clothing etc.)
