I saw the boys last summer at Reading but they just werent up to the footage of the glory days that I have seen. Although the abs haven't changed!

i am a huge fan of incubus and i can see the difference in their new album, but i still think the album is a great one

^Yeah i agree with you, the lyrics are a bit cheesy now. I don't know what's happened to Incubus though their new album is a bit more promising than the previous CLOTM. I prefer it anyway. It's a shame because I'm only getting to see them live now after they've turned a bit watery when I started liking them the year Make Yourself came out.... I'll never be able to see them in their prime...same with Bikini Kill, Sublime, Joy Div. Being born in the late 80s officially sucks!

^^I agree with you that the lyrics on Light Grenades are not really the best. I think the best lyrics were on Make Yourself & Morning View.

The concert I'm going to is only 2 weeks away. I'm excited. It's gonna be the third time seeing them.

I don't like that review...I think Incubus is so much better now than the Fungus and s.c.i.e.n.c.e times, they are better muscians now, and the changes are because they don't enjoy to make similar records...it will not be another fungus or another sience...and btw, Light Grenades is a great great album

Thanks for the oldies but goodies. Love Summer Romance. Glass was another favorite. I think their best albums were S.C.I.E.N.C.E, Make Yourself, Morning View & ACLOTM. Light Grenades has like four good songs but still their track record is more than decent.

I think this happens to all artists. There will be the inevitable 'have they sold out' discussion. But they need to really consolidate their legacy by reclaiming their glory but in a less flashy youthful way obviously. They'll never have the 90s glory again but they can find something that is better than some of the drivel. I have to say that even songs like 'Drive' make my shudder. It is more S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Fungus for me.

Some songs on CLOTM rock. I really love Megalomaniac though I am not sure if it is because it is Incubus or because it is so anti-Bush. Probably the latter. But I know what you mean about the late 80s. We missed everything. I would have loved to be a teenager in the 70s and in my 20s in the 80s... although that would probably make me a little old for Incubus!
