A nice throwback to McDean's 90s mood. There's something very off about the positioning of her head here but I really like the awkwardness of the cover as a whole.
A very cool cover, which is appropriate for the time of year.
Totally agree with the teenage/90s comments and that's why I love it! Elle is such a pretty girl. She seems to love playing with fashion in a very tennage/fun and unpretentious way, which is lovely. Great cover.
The bad eye make-up (one brush away from looking like Angela Lindvall for Jil Sander c. 1998), the tucked back hair, the awkward ears...such a refreshing cover.
I really like this! It's different and unusual. Elle seems to have a genuine passion for fashion and it's nice to see a magazine doing something different with her.
Love the edit.
She looks like Elizabeth Olsen in that b/w beauty shot. Cover-wise I don't mind the makeup because I think its purposefully supposed to be awkward given the pose
Completely in love with Elle's editorial. It's kind of ridiculous to think of where she'll be in 5-10 years, since she's already displaying beauty, talent, and style that surpasses her peers by FAR.
If I remember correctly there's only one editorial by Craig McDean and it's with two brunettes (one is Querelle Jansen). All of the clothes are Prada Pre-Fall/Fall 2014.
