As for where to buy a rep watch, I strongly believe that there are definite advantages to ordering a replica watch from one of the watch sites.
Firstly, those guys are selling THOUSANDS of replica watches -- I imagine they are more familiar with the watch factories and models (and get better product and pricing) than
someone like Catty or Jacky who sell perhaps dozens. Secondly, these rep watch specialists are also getting constant feedback from the repgeek-type customers in the US, telling them to change the font or bezel or whatever in order to make the watch look more authentic, much like NBF hears from us about the bales and Jacky about the stitching on the Chanel flaps. Finally, I feel that these rep watch sellers have a long track record with the repgeek guys, and I may get better recourse moaning about them on that forum than on tFS.
I'm not denigrating Catty or Jacky (whom I love for bags and have always recommended), but it is highly unlikely that they can be as discerning with watches as the rep watch pros are -- I doubt that Catty or Jacky could personally distinguish between ceramic vs. ceramic-coated anymore than one of those watch sellers could tell the difference between sheepskin and calfskin.
People are going to buy from the seller with whom they are most comfortable, and if
people feel more comfortable buying a watch from a trusted non-watch seller like Catty
and Jacky, they should do so -- but knowing that they have a lower likelihood of getting
the best rep at that price point.
I can understand why many tFSers don't want to deal with reading the repgeek
forum and getting involved with a whole new crew of sellers in China -- it's just not worth that time for someone who's planning to buy just a couple of passable watches. It's not really worth my time either, for the watches (or the bags); but I have that sort of obsessive personality, coupled with a pointless curiosity about the subcultures of these forum....
