oh man, this forum moves fast like it's mother-forum too!
regarding carat.cc -- the pieces look SO GREAT. i have stud earrings in the martini setting and they are so fine and brilliant and nearly flush with the lobe -- and the clasp is stronger and more reliable than any diamond stud i've ever owned (and i've gone through 4 sets just losing them or wanting bigger ones) The salesgirl assured me i can wear them daily without taking them off (even in the shower)
This is not chunky costume jewelry; they are made to look like the finer pieces every woman should have haha. There is a small temporary store in nyc but they will be opening a Madison Ave boutique later this year (Madison Ave is reserved for the Gucci YSL -type of stores). The pics on the site are pretty bad resolution - in fact i think the site is pretty bad in general and not representative of the luxe store atmosphere.

has anybody ordered the cartier love from jacky? the one in "stainless steel" ?
i know cartier doesn't make the love in stainless, so im a bit confused on its credibility, esp cause I work right nearby the Cartier shop
I dont know, I ordered it already, and it never occured me to check before i placed my order, now im just eh... maybe i'll give it to my mom.

i asked jacky if he's aware that cartier doesn't make the love in stainless, he said that i should cancel my order... he also said he will not make the bracelet in the shiny "white gold" looking metal
he seems afraid of me getting mad
but i dont know, i emailed him asking if I could exchange it for a clic clac, but he hasnt responded yet. I am very excited for the other style, that I got cus I saw quizvans pics, the ones with the sword bracelets... did those even exist?

I am also wondering if anyone has a good diamond rep (other than the one that was mentioned, cause the styles are too traditional for me- I'm a contemporary girl, titanium, steel, etc etc ).
One diamond fell out of my wedding band and now the big, Big, rock from my engagement band is coming loose. I seriously don't trust anyone here and want to take my rings back to the states to get them fixed. Of course, I'm not wearing them any more.
But, my husband is older than me and his rings don't have diamonds, so he's still wearing his. So, when we go out now, I'm getting the "are you the mistress" look.
Someone tell me that this can't be fixed by a rep?

I haven't seen the Cartier love bracelet on Kerry's site...Jacky's the only seller I've seen with it thus far.
I might buy it one of these days when I need another item to avoid the extra shipping price.

Stainless steel is pretty cheap so I would imagine something would be made of stainless steel -- the alternatives would be pretty strange.
I don't know whether something sold as sterling is actually sterling even if marked 925. I guess one would need to rely on the supplier and ask -- I am pretty sure there are different grades they can buy as that has been true for things like scarves.
The Hermes bracelets are cute -- the one I got became loose almost immediately though as the screw mechanism didn't hold well. However, I think other people had better luck with the ones they bought.
