Gearing up for a big announcement, Irina Shayk and a few fellow swimsuit models arrived for the taping of the "Late Show with David Letterman" in NYC on Monday (February 14).

Wearing a sexy red dress on the Valentine's Day holiday, the Russian beauty posed for a few photos as she readied to be announced as the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl.

While the naming of the cover beauty is set to officially take place during the "Late Show," reports tell that the much-awaited front page was seen with Irina adorning it in Times Square.

Of the Swimsuit issue announcement, S.I.’s editor, Diane Smith, told press, “This is the most exciting and surprising group of models we’ve had in the last several years.”

Good for her for getting the SI cover. I am no expert in SI, but have the covers always been so...trashy? I mean, she is sexy as it is, so she really dont have to accentuate it by thrusting her boobs together and that pose and face just make it worse.

But on a more positive note, I've never seen her look that good as she does in the Today show! She looks classy but sexy in a more demure way. Though i must say that sometimes her mouth really bothers me when she smiles, it's like her lip is touching her nose then
