i've sooo warmed up to her over the past few months. i think she's unbelievably gorgeous and after seeing her at the castings for the VSFS - i really really hope she makes it on the show! i think they'd be stupid not to cast her.

Irina Shayk will not walk in this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show. We hear the Russian model and Sports Illustrated cover girl had to back out of auditioning because she’s too busy filming Brett Ratner’s “Hercules,” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. VS auditions are this week, but the lingerie line’s “Angels” Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes and Behati Prinsloo are *already confirmed.

well that story is a complete fabrication -- we saw pictures of her at the casting. so she didn't "back out of auditioning". seems to me that Irina didn't get cast and this is her PR people doing some spin so it doesn't look like she was rejected.

the truth is - if she did go through the casting process and the people at VS chose not to cast her in the show, they are complete morons. she is the epitome of what a sex-bomb, womanly VS model should be. she's charismatic and sensual and also VERY FAMOUS and would help draw attention to the show. she's an extremely well-known commercial supermodel and her presence in the VSFS would raise the show itself. i'm very disappointed with this news.

I agree, I'm not Irina's biggest fan, but I too have warmed up to her and I think in the right styling she's gorgeous. If I were VS I would just look at her "Coal Miner's Daughter" editorial and that would be enough to cast this girl!
