Is a leather jacket still a must-have in 2025?

Feels like trends come and go, but leather jackets somehow survive every wave.
Curious, do you still consider a good leather jacket a wardrobe essential, or are there better go-to pieces now?

some leather jackets are there, resulting from designers picking up on trends.
the trend has come and gone and some designers have stayed the same. it may be that you can trust what they make.

anyway, in my opinion, leather jackets are like roadsters. if you have mild winters and cool summers, you get a lot of their use. and you might come to call them evergreen.
