OK, IMO, there's always a focal point when you do makeup, a makeup overload is when you have more than one focal point ( lips, eyes, cheekbones ) it all can make you look loaded
This season I've seen a lot of emphasis on lips, lot's of grape, mauve colours, leaving the eyes clean w/ a bit of sheers colors and mascara... so for me, is safe to keep something out when doing makeup, if you create emphasis on one spot, the whole look will come off more subliminal and less shocking and hard to accept
And look at who's talking about less shocking and hard to accept
