IT Finally happened...

My friend's wife always wears sexy heels everywhere they go. We had a wedding a few weeks back and she wore metal heeled sandals.... The catering place had an escalator and we needed to go down to the lower level. My buddy and I went first, followed by my g/f and his wife. She stepped onto the escalator and one heel got stuck in the thin slat of the step. She almost tumbled down. We started to laugh (we had a few drinks), but her heel was stuck good and she couldnt get it out. The bottom of the escalator was approaching and she was having some trouble unbuckling the ankle strap (the drinks). My friend bent down and gave her foot a yank so hard that it freed the shoe, but also scratched up the metal part of the heel. We laughed about most of the night. I personally love seeing thin heels on women; ............anyone else ever have anything like that happen?

HeHeHeHe...that's great. I've got a couple of those stories:

I was at a bar with my good friend Katie* a few years ago. She had gotten up to use the restroom and on her way back to the bar where we were sitting, the heel of her stiletto snapped and sent her tumbling to the floor of the crowded bar. Everyone around her just stared. It was so sad but I couldn't help but laugh. Needless to say she was embarrassed - so much so, that she made me pay the tab immediately so she could get the hell out of there.

And...

It was a girls-night-out. A friend of ours is a professional ballet dancer and all the girls got together to see her at an opening night performance. After the show, we were headed down the street and my friend Chelsea* was pretending to dance like a ballerina - in high heels. Her heel got stuck in a crack in the sidewalk; her foot left the shoe and she fell to the ground. This was especially funny because a) Chelsea is the most prim and proper person you'll ever meet, and b) my friend had a camera and got pictures of Chelsea on the ground It was beautiful.

Oh man...such things have happened to me too..

I walking along the streets in my heels (thankfully the 3-inch ones and not my 4-inches), chattering rapidly to my boyfriend. My heels suddenly got caught in the grating of the drain cover on the street and I nearly hurled forward like a human torpedo if not for the quick reflexes of my boyfriend.

The only saving grace was that I was wearing pants, and not a skirt that day.

Phew..trust me, I am sure more people on TFS would have incidents like these

That happened to my flip-flops once...I was more afraid for my flip-flops than for my feet though...
