Jewel Thief
Merriam-Webster's Dictionary was the unlikely topic of conversation at the party for Ivanka Trump's fine-jewelry collection at New York's Country restaurant on Thursday night. That's because, along with "unibrow" and "drama queen," the word "bling" was admitted into that august publication last year. "I'd like to think it was put in there just for my line," said Donald's daughter, who was wearing a plumed black-and-white Marchesa cocktail dress. "But I don't think I had much to do with it." The launch attracted Gillian Hearst-Shaw, Jamie Johnson, Marjorie Gubelmann, and Observer owner Jared Kushner (the man routinely described in the press as Ivanka's "rumored boyfriend"), as well as the Trump clan. "She did a good job of making sure everyone can wear it," said proud mama Ivana Trump of the diamond-heavy line. "It's big, but it's young." Truth be told, Mom might have another reason to like her daughter's jewelry: "Now I'll quit stealing hers," Ivanka explained. (Style.com )
